Locking ADDY - Examples

In the examples below, the boost weight per 1 BP is $500 - this means that 1 BP doubles the ADDY earnings for $500 worth of a user's stake in a vault. This number is different than the actual boost weight per BP and is only used for the examples below for the sake of simplicity.

The boost weight per BP is currently affected by the emission rate of ADDY, the APR of the vault, and the amount of money the user has staked in other vaults for the LP pair of that vault (i.e. the total amount the user has staked in USDC/WETH if the user is staking in a USDC/WETH vault).

The boost formula is:

Boost=BPweightPerBP/userStakeValueBoost = BP * weightPerBP/ userStakeValue

The boost weight per BP is also affected by the base APR of the vault (before the performance fee is applied). Users will need to lock more ADDY to increase their boost for higher APR vaults.

  • Bob has 1 BP and has staked $500 in a vault with a base APR of 49%.

Bob's ADDY earnings from vault A are increased by 100%, because the earnings from the first $500 of Bob's stake in vault A are increased by 100%.

  • Bob has 1 BP and has staked $500 in a vault with a base APR of 50%.

Bob's ADDY earnings from vault A are increased by 90%, because there is a 10% reduction in boost weight for vaults with 50-99% APR.

  • Bob has 1 BP and has staked $1000 in a vault with a base APR of 49%.

Bob's ADDY earnings from vault A are increased by 50%. The earnings from the first $500 of Bob's stake in vault A are increased by 100%, while the earnings from the remaining $500 are not boosted.

  • Bob has 1 BP and has staked $500 in vault A and $500 in vault B. Both vaults have a base APR of 49% and are for different LP pairs.

Bob's ADDY earnings from vault A and vault B are both increased by 100%. The earnings from the first $500 of Bob's stake in vault A and the first $500 of Bob's stake in vault B are increased by 100%.

  • Bob has 1 BP and has staked $500 in vault A and $500 in vault A2. Both vaults have a base APR of 49% and are for the same LP pair, but on two different platforms (i.e. Quick and Sushi).

Bob's ADDY earnings from vault A and vault B are both increased by 50%.

The boost system uses the sum of the user's value staked across the vaults for a LP pair. The earnings from the first $500 of Bob's stake for that LP pair are increased by 100%, while the earnings from the remaining $500 are not boosted.

  • Bob has 1000 BP and has staked $1,000,000 in a vault with a base APR of 49%.

Bob's ADDY earnings from vault A are increased by 50%. The earnings from the first $500,000 of Bob's stake in vault A are increased by 100%, while the earnings from the remaining $500,000 are not boosted.
